Wind Interpretive Centre - Straffordville

Get a close-up view of one of the 66 magnificent, energy producing wind turbines located east and west of Port Burwell, along Lake Erie – Ontario’s South Coast.

The Wind Interpretive Centre Information Kiosk was established at the corner of Nova Scotia Line and Brown Road in 2007. A used portable classroom was donated and moved to the property from Port Burwell with volunteer assistance. The Township of Malahide partners with the Municipality of Bayham to provide a student guide from late June until Labour Day. You can have a self-guided tour of the kiosk or attend inside for related tourism and wind farm information and view an old fashioned model windmill.

The quilt block, “Whirl-a-gig”, is proudly displayed on the kiosk in bright colors against a night sky.
